Raima Sen aka Raima Dev Varma is a famous actress who appears in Hindi and Bengali films. She has got a wide critical acclaim for her performances in the Bengali films. She was born on 7th November 1979. Her mother is a famous actress Moon Moon Sen. Her grandmother is a famous legendary actress Suchitra Sen. She is a sister of Riya Sen, famous actress in Hindi films. Her father, Bharat Dev Varma is a descendent of a royal family of Tripura. Her grandmother Ila Devi was a princess of Cooch Behar. She was the elder sister of Gayatri Devi, Maharani of Jaipur. She is a great granddaughter of Indira Devi who was the only daughter of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad II of Baroda.

Raima began her acting career with a small role in the film 'Godmother' which was widely acclaimed by the critics. She then did another small but powerful role in 'Daman' which was appreciated. Rituparno Ghosh's 'Chokher Bali' was a breakthrough in her career. She then acted in a few average movies. She was again recognized in 'Parineeta' as Vidya Balan's playmate. After that she was seen in 'Dus' and a Bengali movie 'Antar Mahal'. Later, she appeared in 'The Bong Connection' with Shayan Munshi and 'Manorama Six Feet Under' Co starring Abhay Deol.

Over the years she was seen in many Hindi and Bengali films where her performance was applauded by the critics as well as audiences. Raima has done one Telugu and Malayalam film as well. She will be soon appearing in one Tamil film. She was seen in 'Eklavya', 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd' , 'Teen Patti', '3 Bachelors' etc. Recently she played a supporting role in John Abraham starer 'I, Me Aur Main'. She is currently busy with her Bengali projects.
