Rajkummar Rao is a talented actor, born on August 31, 1984 in Gurgaon, Haryana. Right from his schooling days, he aspired to be an actor. He got a bachelors degree in Arts from Delhi University and then went to Film and Television Institute of India, where he sharpened his acting skills.
Rajkummar holds the record of being a theatre actor at Shri Ram Centre, Delhi. His entry in Bollywood was not at all easy as he had to visit number of production houses and meet series of casting directors for an opportunity to display his passion. Finally, a big break came up on his way with 'Love, Sex Aur Dhoka' after he responded to Dibakar Banerjee's ad.
Next was 'Ragini MMS' which brought him recognition in the industry. Later, he was seen in number of small yet pivotal character roles in the following films- 'Shaitan', 'Gangs Of Wasseypur 2', 'Chittagong' and 'Talaash'.
Stepping ahead from the supporting role, his acting skills proved him eligible to efficiently embark the lead role in films like 'Kai Po Che', 'Shahid', 'Queen' and 'Citylights'. 'Shahid' earned him the National Film Award of Best Actor in the year 2014. The actor will soon appear in a new look in the upcoming film 'Dolly Ki Doli' opposite Sonam Kapoor.
Having no godfathers in Bollywood, Rajkummar Rao has himself established his name. His dedication, sincerity and hard work are therefore making him the critics' favourite.
