Ranjeet Biography
Ranjeet a.k.a Gobal Bedi a.k.a Goli is considered as very respectable and legendary actors in the Bollywood. Ranjeet has mainly done character roles and negative roles in his film career. He has acted in numerous Hindi and Punjabi films. Over the years, the elderly actor has appeared in more than 200 Hindi films.
Ranjeet was born on 12th September in Jandiala Guru in Punjab. He made a debut through the film 'Sawan Bhadon' in 1969. It is said that legendary actor Sunil Dutt had suggested the name 'Ranjeet' to Gopal Bedi during the filming of 'Reshma Aur Shera'. Ranjeet accepted this name suggested by Sunil Dutt and in more than 25 films, his character's name was Ranjeet. Some of his noteworthy films are 'Amir Garib','Haath Ki Safai','DharamVeer','Bhookh','Namak Halal','Raakhi Ki Saugandh','Shapath','Humse Hai Zamana','Amar Akbar Anthony' and many more.
His recent films were 'Bulandi','Muskurake Dekh Zara','Housefull 2','5 Ghantey mien 5 Crore','Qayamat Hi Qayamat' etc. The talented actor now appears on the small screen too , he does cameos and character roles in TV serials. He will be next seen in Sanjay Gupta's 'Shootout at Wadala' along with John Abraham,Manoj Bajpai,Tusshar Kapoor etc.
