Rannvijay Singh Biography

Rannvijay Singh Singha is a famous television host, presenter and as well as actor. He is famous for the adventure reality show MTV Roadies. He was born on 16th March 1983 in Jalandhar, Punjab. He hails from a Jatt Sikh family. His father is an Army officer. He has a family history of six generations who served the Indian Army. As an Armyman's son, he went to nine schools as his father had a transferable job. He finished a major part of his school life in a boarding school. His grandfather Dr. Col HS Singha is a director of GNMIT, a famous college in Ludhiana.

Just when, Rannvijay was about to join the Indian Army, he casually went for the audition of MTV Roadies 1st season in 2003. He emerged as a finalist and won the show. According to him, he never wanted to be in the spotlight. He took up Roadies as he wanted to win the Karizma bike. He is an automobile buff. After winning the show, MTV offered him to host the same show and he has been doing so, since then till today. Rannvijay also has appeared in MTV Splitsvilla Season 2.

Rannvijay made his debut on the silver screen with the film 'Toss' with Aarti Chhabria and Ashmit Patel in 2009. The film failed to prove at the box office. He was next seen in 'London Dreams' along with Ajay Devgn, Asin Thottumkal and Salman Khan. It was a big budget film. Rannvijay appeared in 'Direct Dil Se' which was released in 2010. Rannvijay was also a part of 'Action Replay' along with Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar.

In 2011, Rannvijay ventured into Punjabi film industry. He appeared in a political thriller 'Dharti' with Jimmy Shergill and Prem Chopra. In the same year , he appeared in Ayesha Takia in a Hindi film named 'Mod'. He was next seen with Jimmy Shergill in a Punjabi flick 'Taur Mittran Di' and will be seen next in 'Saadi Love Story'.

Rannvijay was also seen in an advertisement of Reliance Communications with Anushka Sharma. Besides this, Rannvijay has appeared in the events held for a social cause like 'Save The Girl Child'. In 2012, he unveiled MTV Roadies Footgear by Mochi. In March 2013, Rannvijay was delegated by Lenovo for the launch of a new range of Smartphones .

In his real life, Rannvijay is very passionate about motorcycles. He also loves adventures and adventure sports. The calm and patient guy was in a relationship with Anusha Dandekar, the Indian Australian TV presenter, actress and singer but now the couple has declared that they are not in a relationship anymore but they are just good friends.
