Reema Kagti Biography
Reema Kagti is an Indian Film Director who recently proved her mettle in Directing and Script Writing with Blockbuster 'Talaash'. Born in 1972, Reema has done BA in English Literature from Sophia College, Mumbai. She completed a Post Graduation diploma in Social Communications Media at the Sophia Polythenic.
Reema started her career as an assistant director while assisting many leading directors like Farhan Akhtar in 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Lakshya', Ashutosh Gowarikar in 'Lagaan', Honey Irani in 'Armaan', and Mira Nair in 'Vanity Fair'. Reema is an associate with Excel Entertainment and has assisted both Farhan and close friend Zoya Akhtar in all their films and commercials till date.
Reema's first movie as an independent director was 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd' (2006) which was critically acclaimed and did average business. Her next movie 'Talaash' released in 2012 and was a suspense drama starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. Reema has also written Script for 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'.
