Rita Bhaduri is a well known face in the Indian films. Now she is famous as a television actress as well. She initially appeared as supporting actress in various Hindi films during the 1970s, 1980's, 1990's. She is mostly recognized for her supporting roles in the films like 'Saawan Ko Aane Do', 'Raja' ,'Julie' ,'Aaina' ,'Anurodh' ,'Gopal Krishna' ,'Nastik' ,'Naya Khoon' ,'Ghar Ho To Aisa' ,'Beta' ,'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa' ,'Anth' ,'Tilak' ,'Hero No.1' ,'Kya Kehna!', 'Virasat', 'Mulqaat' ,'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar' ,'Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon' . She has received the Filmfare award for the best supporting actress for the film 'Raja'.
Rita Bhaduri has been actively taking part in the TV serials like Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, Hudd Kar Di, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Amanat, Choti Bahu, Hasratein, Kumkum, Khichadi, Bhagonwali, Krishnaben Khakhrawala and many more. The talented senior actress Rita Bhaduri is married to Rajiv Verma who is also an actor.Rita Bhaduri and Rajeev started the theater group Bhopal Theaters. Their family is based in Bhopal. They have two sons, Tathagat, an engineer and Shiladitya, who is a painter cum management consultant in Bhopal.
Rita Bhaduri is an alumnus of the Film And Television Institute Of India (FTII), Pune. Her batch mate was the famous actress Zarina Wahab.
