Sabbir Khan Biography
Sabbir Khan is a well known screenwriter and director in the Indian film industry. He was raised by his father. His mother passed away when he was very young. His father was a lyricist and used to take him along with him on the sets of the films. He grew in the filmy environment. So he developed an interest in films since childhood. After completing studies, he worked part time in the advertising field. But later shifted completely into the direction.
Sabbir began his career by assisting two well known film makers, David Dhawan and Mahesh Bhatt during his initial years. Later he got completely involved with Sajid Nadiadwala's production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. He has directed many trailers and music videos too. His first directorial venture was 'Kambakkht Ishq' with Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. His movie featured many Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh, Holly Valance and Denise Richards. The film was successful at the box office and got mixed reviews. It was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
His next release is 'Heropanti' starring Jackie Shroff's son Tiger Shroff and Athiya Shetty. The film will be released in August 2013.
