Sanjana Kapoor is an Indian film actress who is now running the Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai.
Basics
Sanjana Kapoor was born in 1967 to Jennifer Kendal and Shashi Kapoor. Her grandfather is Prithviraj Kapoor who founded the Prithvi Theatre in 1944. Karan Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor are her brothers who are beside actors and models. She finished her schooling from Bombay International School in Mumbai and then joined Prithvi Theatre as she loved acting.
Her husband is Valmik Thapar and she has a son named Hameer.
Films
Sanjana started her career with the film 36 Chowringhee Lane which was directed by her father and starred her mother in the lead role. She was later seen in Utsav (1984) and Hero Hiralal (1988), which did not do well in the box office.
Later she was seen in Salaam Bombay (1988) by Mira Nair, which was her last film. Then she started managing the Prithvi Theatre.
On television, she has hosted the Amul India Show for more than three years.
