Sanjay Khanduri Biography
Sanjay Khanduri is a director from Bollywood who came to fame with his debut directorial 'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local'.
Sanjay was born on 13th June 1979 into a Brahmin family, originally from Uttarakhand. He was raised in New Delhi where he was schooled in Iue Bell International School and then went ahead to graduate in Electronics from Delhi University as he previously aimed to become an Engineer. But Khanduri was destined for something else. Khanduri struggled through as he worked from Journalism to ad-films to finally become a filmmaker. Sanjay had an inclination towards Special Effects and Animation. He joined TV18 as a correspondent but later promoted himself to join Crest Communication, an organization which expertise in displaying Special Effects in Ads and Feature Films in India. During this phase, he developed interest in Filmmaking which lent him his first breakthrough as a second assistant director to Subhash Ghai in 'Taal'. He next worked as associate director for 'Dil Hai Tumhaara'.
Sanjay worked as a fully fledged director with his movie 'Ek Chalis Ki Last local' for which he also wrote the script. It was weaved around a true incident which Sanjay met when he missed the last train back home, one rainy night. The film starred Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia and was liked by critics and masses. Sanjay won quite a few awards as a director for the same. Sanjay's second movie 'Kismet Love Paisa Dilli' released in 2012 bombed at the Box office. A lot can be expected by this young blood in near future.
