Shahana Goswami Biography
Shahana Goswami is one of the young talented actresses in the Bollywood. She was born on 6th May 1986 in New Delhi. Shahana had a deep liking towards professional acting since childhood. She shifted to Mumbai for graduation and to find out the possibility of taking up the professional acting. While in Mumbai, she joined Jaimini Pathak's theatre group. There ,she worked as a production assistant and then she got a chance to act in their projects Arabian Nights and Seagull.
One of her theatre friend helped her in getting in touch with Shaanu Sharma who told her about the auditions for Naseeruddin Shah's directorial debut 'Yun Hota To Kya Hota'. Eventually, she got a role as Boman Irani's daughter in 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd' by Reema Kagti. Later a cinematographer recommended her for 'Ru Ba Ru' a film by Percept Picture Company. Her Co star in the film was Randeep Hooda.
Then her friends Simran and Shaanu Sharma recommended her name to the director Abhishek Kapoor for 'Rock On'. She played and enlivened the character of Debbie. This role made her to get known in the film industry. Her brilliant performance in this film brought her many awards for the best supporting actress.
Shahana then was seen in a music video by Dido, and in fevicol commercial. She got a chance to work in Deepa Mehta's 'Midnight's Children'. Meanwhile she was seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's film 'Heroine'.
She will be featured as a main lean in Vara -the Boon by director Khyentse Norbu . Apart from these films, Shahana also appeared in films like 'Firaaq' ,'Mirch' ,'Game' ,'Ra.1' and 'Break Ke Baad' .
