Shilpa Shukla Biography

Shilpa Shukla is the budding talent and promising actress from Bollywood. Born on 22nd of February 1982, Shilpa origins from a Bihari Brahmin family in Vaishali, Bihar. Though born in Bihar, Shilpa was raised in various parts of the country like Kolkata, Gujarat and New Delhi.

Completing her secondary schooling from Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram in New Delhi, she later pursued her higher studies from the Miranda House, University of Delhi. Post her education, Shukla moved her foots towards her passion, acting. To eminent her skills in the art, Shilpa decided to join-in a theater group first and so got herself connected to the prestigious M.K. Raina theater.

Later, the actress went on and became a part of a few famous plays directed by the aces in the stream, Mr. Arvind Gaur, Mahesh Dattani, Govind Deshpande and Girish Karnad. Flapping her wings high in acting, Shilpa received her debut in yet another critically acclaimed cinema 'Khamosh Pani' in the year 2003. The actress soon became noticeable in her next venture 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi' directed by Sudhir Mishra.

Soon her forte was clearly stated in front of the audiences and it was pretty clear that she was meant for a different segment of the entertainment industry. Thus, her later incorporation showcased the same.

Although she was recognizable in the industry, the actress basked glory with her next Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Chak De India' in the year 2007. Her negative character in the flick grabbed all eyeballs. This not only credited her appreciation but accolades too. Shilpa won several awards for her skills in the film, starting off with first came the 'Filmfare Award' for 'Best Actress in a Supporting Role', then clubbed 'IIFA Award' for 'Best Actor in a Negative Role Female' and so on. Shilpa also appeared in Leander Paes starrer 'Rajdhani Express' in 2013.

Soon her stars sparked and so it's seen with the latter's recent release, 'B.A. Pass'. The film dealt with more of a bold subject, an affair of a young guy with an older women. However, the film was highly acclaimed and the actress too was appreciated for her brave attempt. Director Ajay Bahl's brain child not only grilled controversies, but rather brought up a different genre to audiences view with his sole navigator, Shilpa.

Now that the actress is on the peak of her career sprint, Shilpa Shukla is all set to conquer the bigger endevours.
