Siddharth is not one of those stunning boys here in the film industry doing acting just because he is handsome. He is a talented guy with many skills inherent. He has a degree of MBA from S.P. Jain College in Mumbai. Siddharth entered in the field of acting just because he wanted to learn the art of film making and wanted to make good films in future. Besides being bright in his academic career, Siddharth is die hard fan of the cricket and loves doing commentary for the game. However, he has worked as a commentator too for some matches. Moreover, having a liking towards acting, the handsome guy is a good singer too. He has sung many playback songs in many films.

Born on 17th April 1979, in Chennai , Tamil Nadu ,Siddharth Suryanarayan loves writing also. He has done schooling from DAV Boy's Senior Secondary School in Chennai and in Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Delhi. He has taken a bachelors degree in commerce from Kirori Mal College in New Delhi and later did an MBA. During his college days, he was active in the reputed theatre group of his college. He was also chosen as a president of his college's debating society. He has attended and won many World debating Championships. In 1999, the Allrounder actor has won the CNBC manager of the year award.

He started his career as an Assistant Director of the famous south Indian director Mani Ratnam. Siddharth made his debut through the Tamil film 'Kannathil Muthamittal' as the assistant director. He got a chance to debut as an actor in the film 'Boys' which was made by S. Shankar and it was a Tamil movie. His next movie 'Nuvvu Vastananate Nenu Vaddantana' in Telugu brought him the Best Actor Filmfare award for his mesmerizing performance in that film.

Later he acted in many Tamil and Telugu films. He has written the screenplays for the films and sang as a playback singer as well. Siddharth made his debut in the Hindi films through a blockbuster 'Rang De Basanti' along with Aamir Khan,Kunal Kapoor,Sharman Joshi and Atul Kulkarni. Besides having such big star cast, Siddharth marked his presence on the screen and won accolades from audiences and the critics as well. He has got the Star Screen award Debut award for this role.

His second Bollywood movie was 'Striker' which portrayed the life of a carom player. Meanwhile he did many south Indian projects and got critical appreciations for his roles in those films. Siddharth started his own production house in 2012 and produced 2 films till now. He has recently seen in Deepa Mehta's much awaited film 'Midnight's Children'.

Currently the good looking actor is looking forward to his next release in Hindi 'Chashme Baddoor' along with Ali Zafar and Tapasee. The movie will be released on 5th April 2013.
