Sonali Bendre Biography

Sonali Bendre is a famous Bollywood actress the numero uno tall stunning beauty of India. She was born on 1st January 1975 in Mumbai. She is also a former model. She has acted in various Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi films. Sonali Bendre started her career with modeling. After that she got selected for the 'Stardust Talent Search'. She was invited to Mumbai and got trained under a variety of eminent film fraternities. Sonali was born in a Maharashtrian Marathi family. She did her schooling in Bengaluru and Mumbai from Kendriya Vidyalaya Malleswaram and Holy Cross Convent High School in Thane. She also went to Welham Girls School in Dehradun. Sonali has three sisters. As a child, she was quiet and loved to read a lot.

Sonali made her debut in the film 'Aag' in 1994 with Govinda. Sonali initially did a lot of struggle to establish herself as an actress. Her initial films were 'Naaraaz' ,'The Don' ,'Gaddar', 'Takkar' , 'Rakshak' ,'English Babu Desi Mem'. etc. She appeared in an item song 'Humma Humma' in Mani Ratnam's 'Bombay'.

Later she eventually got critical appreciation for her roles in the films like 'Diljale', 'Bhai' ,'Sarfarosh' ,'Zakhm' ,'Duplicate' ,'Hum Saath-Saath Hain', 'Tera Mera Saath Rahein' ,'Anahat' etc. Sonali is one of the few actresses who has done films with all the top khans (Aamir, Salman,Shahrukh and Saif). She has acted opposite other top actors like Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor. She has been also featured opposite Telugu superstars Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Kannada superstar Upendra. She was a part of superhit south Indian films like Indra, Shankar Dada M.B.B.S., Khadgam, Manmadhudu , Murari, Angaaray, Preethse., etc.

Besides this, she proved her dancing abilities in the films like 'Sapoot',' Gaddar',' Lajja' and 'Major Saab' etc. She was seen in a special appearance in Nikhil Advani's 'Kal Ho Naa Ho'. She was a part of a theatre play named Aap Ki Soniya.

Sonali has hosted a dance show named Kya Masti Kya Dhoom. She has judged Indian Idol, Mr & Ms Television, Indian Idol 4, India's Got Talent, Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz and Best Dramebaaz etc. Sonali who hasn't appeared in the movies after 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' will make her comeback with Akshay Kumar's 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again'.

Sonali is married to director Goldie Behl and has a son named Ranveer.
