Sturdy and Handsome Sonu Sood is an Actor worked in Hindi and South Indian movies. He started his career by modeling and acting in T.V commercials. He also took part in the Mr. India Pageant. His wife's name is Sonali and son's name is Ishant.

Born on 30th July 1973 in Moga, Punjab, Sonu shifted to Nagpur, from where he got a degree in Electronics Engineering. He was a son of a businessman and a teacher but always dreamt of becoming an Actor. He started his career through Telugu and Tamil Movies and gradually got into Hindi movies. His first ever movie was 'Kallazhagar' released in 1999. His first Hindi movie was 'Shaheed-E-Azam' in 2002. He also featured in 'Yuva' in 2004. Then, he appeared in 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', 'Sheesha'and 'Siskiyaan'. He gained much recognition in Ashutosh Gowarikar's 'Jodha Akbar' where he essayed the role of prince Sujamal. He also did Rajshri Production's 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi' which was not successful. He appeared in the comedy movie 'Singh is Kinng' as a don. The movie 'Arundhati' released in 2008 is considered as his best movie in Tollywood.

He played the Negative role of Chhedi Singh in the movie 'Dabangg' (2010) which proved a Blockbuster. He also starred in 'Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap' released in 2011. His upcoming movies include 'Shootout at Wadala' and Prabhu Deva's untitled project.
