Sudeep Biography

Sudeep who popularly known as Kiccha Sudeep is a famous south Indian superstar. The multi faceted handsome actor is a producer and director as well. Sudeep is a traditional Kannada film actor and has his strong presence in Indian cinema.

The angry young man from south, Sudeep was born on 2nd September 1973 in Shivmogga , Karnataka. His father's name is M Sanjeev. He was from Narasimharajapura. M Sanjeev is a Hotelier while Sudeep's mother is Saroja. Sudeep considers his mother as his pillar of strength and a big support. Sudeep, who is also known as Abhinaya Chakravarthi, studied at the Vasavi Vidyalaya School in Shivmogga. He later studied mechanical engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. He was a University Cricket Player. He was also a captain of Karnataka Bulldozers in Celebrity Cricket League. Sudeep is married to Priya and the couple has a cute daughter named Saanvi.

Sudeep commenced the journey of his acting career with a TV serial named Premada Kadambari which was directed by Sudhakar Bhandari. The serial was aired on Udaya TV. The talented actor made his acting debut with the film 'Tayavva'. But before that he had signed two films named 'Brahma' and 'Kusuma Bale' were dumped while mid filming. Sudeep was seen in a supporting role in 'Prathyartha' directed by Sunil Kumar Desai. This film helped him in bagging a lead role in the film 'Sparsha' which was directed by Sunil Kumar Desai again.

Sudeep's first big film was 'Huchcha' which gave him the name and fame. Some of his well known Kannada films are 'My Autograph','Dhum', 'Mussanje Maatu', 'Sye', 'Sparsha', 'Just Math Mathalli', 'Eega', 'Kempe Gowda' and 'Only Vishnuvardhana'. His Telugu film 'Eega' made him hit in Tamil and Telugu Industry as well. The film created records at the box office. He essayed an antagonist in this movie and his outstanding performance in this film won him accolades.

Sudeep made his Bollywood debut with the movie 'Phoonk'. Sudeep has starred in Ram Gopal Varma's movies like 'Phoonk 2' ,'Rann', 'Rakht Charitra', 'Rakht Charitra - 2' and 'Makkhi'. He will be next seen in a historical film named 'Rajahamsa' where he will be seen in a double role.

Sudeep has turned a director with his film 'My Autograph'. He has directed several Kannada films like '73 Shanti Nivas' ,'Veera Madakari', 'Just Math Mathalli' ,'Kempegowda' etc. Most of his directorial flicks are remakes.

Sudeep who started his career as a television actor, was seen as a mentor in a reality show 'Pyate Hudgeer-Halli Lifu' aired on Asianet Suvarna. He also was a host for Kannada Bigg Boss aired on ETV Kannada.

The talented actor has won many prestigious awards in the down south for his contribution in the films.
