Basics on Suhasini
In 1953 Suhasini was born in Patna, Bihar, India. At the immature age of three she lost her father . Her mother Vijaya Mulay inhaled her to connect the film industry. She was not just a talented actress but an excellent student too. She did a course in agricultural technology specializing in soil chemistry and microbiology from the McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Suhasini besides keeps a degree in Mass Communication.
Movies
Mulay began her career with modelling for Pears Soap in 1965 and gained lot of popularity which shortly conveyed her the lead role in Mrinal Sen's Bhuvan Shome (1969). This film was a great success and she recieved a National Award for her performance at the age of sixteen. Even after gaining popularity, Mulay discontinued acting as she wanted to proceed her studies. In 1975 she came back to India and did work as an Assistant Director for Satyajit Ray's Jana Aranya, Mrinal Sen's Mrigaya and produced around sixty documentaries and obtained National Awards for some of them. Finally the actress made her return in Bollywood playing motherly roles . She played Salman Khan's mother in Love (1991). Mulay had another National Award for her next film Hu Tu Tu (1999) where she played a grapheme named Malti Bai. In the superhit film Lagaan : Once Upon A Time In India (2001) she was seen as Aamir Khan's mother, Yashodamai. In the Hrithik and Aishwarya starrer Jodhaa Akbar (2008), she was portrayed as Rani Padmavati. Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye and Daddy Cool were her recent releases and both were big flops . Her adjacent release is the Gracy Singh and Aashish Chaudhary starrer The White Land (2009). Some of the films which are under production are : Rang Rasiya (2009), Bits And Pieces (2009), and Tumhare Liye (2009).
