She arrived in Bollywood and she smoothly changed the game! She is Sunidhi Chauhan. This Indian playback singer had sung loads of songs in various languages like Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Assamese, Telugu, Bhojpuri, Urdu, Oriya, Nepali, Gujarati and Kannada movies. At the tender age of four, her singing talent was noticed by a local television channel host. Sunidhi was born on 14th August, 1983 in New Delhi. Her father is a theater personality, who inspired Sunidhi to make her career in singing. Sunidhi is having a younger sister, Suneha. Cricket and gymnastics are the favorite sports of this singer. She tags western music Gods, like Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston as her source of inspiration.

The famous television show, 'Meri Awaz Suno' proved as a platform for her playback singing career, as her hidden singing talent was recognized in that show. Sunidhi was then offered the chance to sing for the film 'Shastra'. The adored song 'Ruki ruki thi zindagi' from Aftab Shivdasani and Urmila Matondkar starrer 'Mast' was a breakthrough for Sunidhi. Post this, she was nominated for fourteen Filmfare Awards. Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent, two IIFA Awards, two Star Screen Awards and one Zee Cine Award are to the credit of this talented singer. Chauhan lent her voice to more than 350 songs at the age of nineteen years. During her initial career phase, she sang for the films like 'Veergati', 'Dahek', 'Bade Dilwala' (1999), 'Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat',etc.

Sunidhi Chauhan was chosen by Microsoft company as a part of their marketing campaign. It was the launch of Windows Vista in India and Sunidhi sang 'Windows Vista' song called 'Wow is Now'. The visuals of the song unleashed various glamorous features of the product. At the opening ceremony of Asian Games 2006 held in Doha, Qatar, Sunidhi sang an English song, 'Reach Out'. This iconic crooner has a very good collaboration with the the other eminent singers like Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Sukhvinder Singh and many more. Apart from this, she also has collaborated with Hollywood singer Enrique Iglesias, while singing the song 'Heartbeat' (India Mix) in the year 2011 and Pakistani singer Faakhir Mehmood for the album 'Mantra'. Sunidhi is the voice behind loads of popular music tracks, such as 'Desi Girl' from the film 'Dostana', 'Dance Pe Chance' from the movie 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', 'Chhaliya' from 'Tashan', 'Race Saanson Ki' from 'Race' and much more.

For outstanding stage performance and superior singing, Sunidhi received 'Chevrolet GIMA (Global Indian Music Awards) for Best Live Performer - Female'. In the fifth season of famous television reality singing show aired on Sony television network, 'Indian Idol' (Season 5 and 6), Sunidhi was the judge along with the other two judges, Salim Merchant and Anu Malik in the year 2010. The first single of talented Sunidhi released in 2013, titled 'Ab Laut Ja' that belonged to the Electronic Dance Music genre. Sunidhi also bagged several other awards including Kelvinator GR8! FLO Women Award in 2009, RMIM Puraskaar for Best Female Singer of the year in 2010, MTV Immies for Best Singer Female for the film 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S' in the year 2004.

Till now, Sunidhi had sung for many actresses including Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukherjee, Sridevi, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Sushmita Sen, Esha Deol, Urmila Matondkar, Rekha, Shilpa Shetty, Dia Mirza, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shamita Shetty, Preity Zinta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Lara Dutta, Rakhi Sawant, Gauhar Khan, etc.

Sunidhi Chauhan got married to the choreographer Bobby Khan at the age of eighteen years, but the marriage could not last for long time and they separated. Post this, on April 27, 2012, she tied the knot with music composer and her childhood friend, Hitesh Sonik.
