What is a career prospect of a bright topper engineering student? Acting? Na... Everybody will deny my answer except the talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput who himself is the best example of the above situation. Despite being a bright student of mechanical engineering and the winner of various academic competitions he chose to try his luck out in the film industry.
Preet Juneja of 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' a.ka. Manav Deshmukh of 'Pavitra Rishta' a.k.a Sushant Singh Rajput is a Delhi boy. Born on 21st January 1986 , jolly Sushant originates from Patna where his father worked as a Government servant. Fun-loving Sushant lost his mother when he was in 12th standard. He was a bright and topper student throughout his school and college. Pampered by his four elder sisters, Sushant is an emotional guy with determined and sincere attitude towards his work. Coming from an elite background of doctors and engineers family, the handsome hunk took admission in Delhi College of Engineering but then destiny had different plans for him. He attended Barry John's theatre and took dancing lessons from the great Shiamak Davar in Delhi.
Later he shifted to Mumbai and started his struggle. He got a chance to perform in a group in Commonwealth Games in 2006 and in Fimfare awards. He caught an eye of Balaji Telefilm's people while performing a play for an NGO. They offered him a supporting role of Preet Juneja in their daily soap 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' . Attractive and talented Sushant won many hearts with his acting and good looks. But the role of caring, shy, responsible , soft-spoken and descent Manav Deshmukh in Balaji Telefilm's daily soap 'Pavitra Rishta' gave Sushant a huge fan following and much appreciation from everybody. This role gave him popularity, glamour and step towards Bollywood. He has also shown his dancing skills on the reality shows like 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' and 'Zara Nachke Dikha'. He got many awards for his performances in reality shows and daily soaps.
Director Abhishek Kapoor saw the acting skills of Sushant and chose to cast him in his next film 'Kai Po Che' which is based on Chetan Bhagat's well known novel 'The Three Mistakes of My Life'. Sushant will be seen in this film playing the role of Ishan along with Rajkummar Rao and Amit Sadh as his co-actors. The young talent has not stopped here. He has bagged 3 more films of big banners.
The tall, fair and handsome Sushant's dream is to become a successful film director one day.
