Tanisha Mukherjee Biography
Tanisha Mukherjee is an Indian actress, who acts in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu movies. Do we need to mention that Tanisha is the sister of the very famous multi-award winning Bollywood actress Kajol? Tanisha was born on 1 January 1978 in Mumbai. The actress was brought up in a filmi-background at her home. The family of Tanisha is ruling over the world of Bollywood since 1940's.
Tanisha is granddaughter of late eminent film producer Sashadhar Mukherjee and famous actress Shobhna Samarth was her grandmother. The classic actress Nutan is her aunt. It is a known fact that Tanisha is the daughter of yesteryears' actress Tanuja and Bengali director and writer Shomu Mukherjee. The B-Town actor Ajay Devgn is her brother-in-law.
In 1995, Tanisha began with her career on Channel V as a VJ. She hosted the popular show titled 'BPL Oye'. Then, she stepped in the film industry with the movie 'Sssshhh' with Dino Morea. The movie did not get much response from the viewers and went unnoticed at the box-office. In 2006, Tanisha appeared opposite Uday Chopra in the movie 'Neal N Nikki'. Unluckily, the film could not please the box-office.
Tanisha also starred in one of the Tamil film named as 'Unnale Unnale', which delighted the box-office attaining good response. In 2008, Tanisha was a part of Hindi blockbuster film 'Sarkar Raaj', which was the sequel to hit film 'Sarkar', her earlier film in the year 2005. Another movies done by Tanisha Include 'Tango Charlie' (2005), 'Popcorn khao mast ho jao' (2004).
Presently, the actress is busy working on her upcoming Marathi project titled 'Adhantari' with Akshay Kumar and SUMEET RAGHAVAN.
