Born on the 11th of February 1957 to a Gujarati speaking family in Mumbai, Tina Munim was a born beauty. Post bagging awards as "Miss Photogenic" and "Miss Bikini" at an International Teen Contest in Aruba, the beauty was spotted by the evergreen Dev Anand. Dev was gasped by her charm and perk so much so that he went ahead to cast her in his film 'Des Pardesh', which marked Tina's debut in the year 1978.
The film went on to become a hit and so was Tina among the masses. This popularity helped Tina bag her second film 'Baton Baton Mein' soon after in 1979. Along with, followed the third 'Karz' opposite then heartthrob Rishi Kapoor and as expected, this also hit the bull's eye increasing Munim's fan following.
As history repeats itself, the hit duo Dev Anand and Tina Munim were back again to spread their charm on the silver screen with the film 'Lootmaar'. As expected, this film too clubbed the then hit section. With this hit machine turned on, Tina geared up her career ahead in full speed with films like 'Aap Ke Deewane', 'Kkatilon Ke Kaatil', 'Fifty Fifty', 'Khuda Kasam' and 'Harjaee'. Tina also marked her part of a hefty event at that times, launch of superstar Sunil Dutt's son Sanjay Dutt with 'Rocky'. Whereas Sanjay soon became a heartthrob, Tina accompanied him to steal some masculine hearts.
Continuing her streak ahead with 'Yeh Vaada Raha', 'Rajput', 'Suraag', 'Souten', 'Bade Dil Wala', 'Pukar', 'Wanted', 'Aasmaan', 'Alag Alag', 'Bewafai', 'Yudh', 'Adhikar' and 'Kaamaagni', few from the archive. Tina soon climbed the ladder to become a superstar by delivering seven hits with the first superstar, Rajesh Khanna. Tina is also famous for creating a good chemistry with stars like Rishi Kapoor and Dev Anand with whom she delivered two and three hits respectively.
As stardom shined the beauty, the starlet was also surrounded with the dark clouds of controversies. Tina was allegedly rumored to be dating the then superstar Rajesh Khanna after delivering seven hits with him. Their affair is assumed to be on the peak from 1981 to 1987 after which the couple separated. Tina loosen all her ties from the industry soon after and flew all the way to California. Post quitting her acting career, Munim completed her college in California itself after which she returned back to the nation in 1991.
Though quitting the career long back in 1987, Tina's two offerings 'Muqaddar Ka Faisla' and 'Jigarwala' were released in 1988 and 1991 respectively, marking her last in the industry.
Getting her life back on track post the breakup dilemma, Tina got herself hitched to the cuber cool business tycoon Anil Ambani, son of the well-known businessman Dhirubhai Ambani in the year 1992. Leading a happy married life alongside hubby Anil and two kids Anmol and Anshul Ambani, Tina is still active on the social circuit. Right from getting involved in charity activities such as working for "Harmony Foundation - For Senior Citizens", "Harmony Art Foundation - For Promotion of Art" till contributing herself into "Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute - Mumbai" & "Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Nursing College (KDA-NC) - Mumbai", Tina Munim now Ambani is one of the leading celeb on the social forefront.
