Vivek Agnihotri Biography
Vivek Agnihotri is an Indian Bollywood director. Vivek is known for his works in Advertising Industry. He turned director after serving to the Ad world. Vivek is married to actress Pallavi Joshi and they have two children.
Vivek pursued his PG degree in Strategic Planning from School of Social Studies, Bhopal and PG in Advertising from Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi, India. He has also done CSS in organization and Management from Harvard University, Boston, USA.
Vivek worked for the top advertising Agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, JWT. Vivek is also one of the founders of McCann Erickson in India. He also launched Gillette and Coca-Cola brands in India successfully. Vivek had started his own advertising agency- Art Beat, which falls under top ten fastest growing agencies by Business India. Vivek then promoted himself and started making AD films. He has made more than 100 ad films for Procter and Gamble. He directed Films on AIDS and NAB which won him several Awards. Vivek has pioneered the Telefilm concept on Indian TV. Vivek has been founder of India's first private TV channels shows such as Saturday Suspense, X Zone, Rishtey (TV series) & Gubbarey. Vivek also tought Creative Thinking at various colleges and universities in London, Delhi and Mumbai.
Vivek then entered in bollywood as a director. He directed 'Chocolate' (2005), his debut movie which was not well received by the audience. His next directorial was 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' a sports oriented movie based on Football. It received a mixed response. Vivek's next was 'Hate Story'.
Vivek's next movie will be 'Freedom' starring Sanjay Dutt and R.Madhavan.
