FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week 2022.

Things started tremendously with designers serving up boundary-pushing statements at FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week in October 2022. Some designers increased the glitter and shine of the gilded fabrics and decorations that continue to draw customers to the ready-to-wear market. The crowd was attracted by the prints, which were also edgy. Afro-Rhapsody, a collection by Esha Amin, made its debut on the third day of Lakmé Fashion Week. It featured exquisitely crafted dresses, pants, co-ord sets, and drape-type morphologies in a riot of vivid colors and colorful prints.

Eshaa Amiin, a renowned stylist and fashion designer, is known for her colorful and entertaining fashion shows. Eshaa's "Afro Rhapsody" collection, which was presented at Lakmé Fashion Week in collaboration with FDCI, was an energetic, bright expression of her unique sense of style, which should come as no surprise. At the event, which was held at the Jio World Convention Centre, India's largest & foremost venue for marquee exhibitions, conventions, and social events and situated in the center of Mumbai's business district, Bandra Kurla Complex, the collection came alive with the punk culture of that region in all its exotic glory.

The leitmotiv of the designer's collection has always been color, and this season Eshaa let her creativity ramble through vivid rainbow hues and eye-catching designs. She catered to customers who yearned for various solutions to see them through the day and into those after-dark soirées, and her silhouettes were numerous. The variety of dresses, cozy slacks, co-ord sets, and formal drapes will satisfy fashion enthusiasts.

The beadwork was elaborate, the braiding was innovative, the cording was sophisticated, and the fringes were inspired by South African culture, which also inspired the collection's name. Eshaa's embellishments were as daring as her designs. The fabric manipulation was crucial for Eshaa to generate a variety of surface textures. The chicly crafted slacks, blouses, and quirky outfits that gave the line a splash of color stood out on the runway.

Afro Punk, a subculture of Southern African origin, inspired a variety of intriguing surface advances such as fabric manipulation, beadwork, braiding, bird and natural feather shapes, cording, and fringes. Esha elaborated on each dress, playing with the designs that represented the African culture by combining several lines and a combination of yellow, orange, and green. Chitrangada turned her Afro-Rhapsody into the show's centerpiece. Chitrangada Singh, a lovely model, captivated the audience on the runway with her powerful and glamorous Afro appearance. Chitrangada sported a vibrant outfit inspired by the South African Afro-punk movement. The dress's details included a gorgeous blue and mustard color pattern, a thigh-high split, tassels, and tulle fabric at the hemline. The outfit also had a feather and braided twist that emphasized the appearance. The exhibited design selection is marketed as the best choice for anyone seeking to flaunt a brief, carefree appearance for informal occasions.

She continued to look glossy to match her color-coded attire. The smoky eyes and brown-tinted lips added to the bohemian appearance. Chitrangda's braided, curly, and crumpled hairstyle suited the ambiance of the designer's collection. She complemented the look with her immaculate makeup and mustard boots. Chitrangda unmistakably projected the ultimate business lady attitude as she walked the ramp.

Eshaa Amiin's "Afro Rhapsody" will hit all the right fashion notes for the energetic, conversation-starting pieces that fun-loving fashion followers are looking for in their wardrobes.

Her inspiration

"I got the inspiration for this presentation from my travels, and the enormous depth of South Africa's culture encapsulates," Eshaa Amiin continued. This time, my label aimed to make a statement for modern ladies using eye-catching hues, striking designs, and full silhouettes. The three designers standing next to each other had individual styles and were unique. The experience has been beautiful, and I look forward to the trip ahead.
