The word to describe Athiya Shetty's bridal wardrobe is elegant! On January 23, the actress wed cricketer KL Rahul in a small ceremony at her father Suniel Shetty's farm in Khandala.
Throughout the wedding festivities, the diva sported stunning clothes. Her ivory-and-gold Ritu Kumar anarkali for the haldi ceremony and her pastel-pink Anamika Khanna wedding gown were both sartorial fantasies for contemporary brides. Athiya dressed elegantly as always for the muhurtham ritual in a handwoven Kanchivaram saree with ogle-worthy traditional jewellery. Athiya's mehendi appearance is another item to add to the list.
She chose a pastel chikankari lehenga by renowned designer Anjul Bhandari for the auspicious ceremony. Her chikankari lehenga, which was handcrafted to perfection by skilled artisans, had 24 kalis and was adorned with delicate beads, was nothing short of a sought-after work of art and over 39,000 Swarovski crystals.
Athiya accessorised her pure georgette chikankari lehenga ensemble with a collection of exquisite jewellery that included kada bangles and a maang-tikka. Her statement chandbalis and maangtikka completed the monumental personal touch and appropriate honour to her grandmother. The focal point of her outfit, though, was a stunning pair of chandbali earrings. At her mehendi ceremony, the actress wore her naani's antique earrings. The ogling-worthy pair was without a doubt the mehendi look's star attraction.
Athiya's makeup had a delicate, subtle sheen to it. She was dressed up for the occasion by celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni, who highlighted her attractiveness with subtle yet effective makeup. Her hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail that cascaded. Athiya Shetty had her wedding antics styled by Ami Patel.
The abundance of lovely pastels in Athiya Shetty's bridal attire is astounding.
