‘RRR’ has been making headlines for its out-of-the-box narrative and cinematography. The SS Rajamouli film has not only received fame across the nation but its chartbuster number ‘Naatu Naatu’, from the original language has swept away an award at the Oscars 2023 too.
The film’s leads, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR made a spectacular entrance on the Red Carpet of the coveted award function. They slayed their traditional Indian looks and made a strong impression as they presented themselves not only as actors of ‘RRR’ but also as proud Indian’s across International waters. While both Jr. NTR and Ram Charan looked dapper in black ensembles, today, we draw a healthy comparison as to who was the best dressed among them!
Check Out Their Looks Below:
Jr.NTR
Jr. NTR knows how to wear his heart up his sleeve! Flaunting the tiger embroidered in gold metallic thread on a bandhgala black velvet ensemble, his outfit gave a tribute to Jr. NTR's nickname, The Young Tiger, as well as the ‘RRR’ intermission scene. He paired the Gaurav Gupta design with a Vacheron Constantin watch and a pair of leather shoes by Brue & Bareskin. Also, the attire paid reference to his Komaram Bheem persona.
Ram Charan
Contrary to what Jr. NTR wore, Ram Charan honoured renowned Indian designers with his special Oscars 2023 outfit designed by Shantanu and Nikhil. Ram Charan also sported a bandhgala look with the Indian military like the medallion-inspired brooches and the buttons that resembled the chakras. His look was inspired by his ‘RRR’ character ‘Alluri Sitarama Raju.’ It also symbolised contemporary India. Ram Charan was accompanied by his wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela.
