India’s global icon Priyanka Chopra is presently busy promoting her much-awaited Hollywood film The Matrix Resurrections. Toplined by Keanu Reeves, the sci-fi film also features Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jada Pinkett Smith in crucial roles.

Ahead of its global release on December 22, 2021, Chopra is pulling out all the stops to promote the film as much as possible. In her recently released character poster, we saw the former beauty queen clad in a dhoti, oozing out desi vibes.

Priyanka Chopra never shies away from representing India on the global platform and putting her home country on the world map. She will once again be seen keeping her indigenousness alive in The Matrix Resurrections. At least the trailer and her character poster tell us so.

A close source in the know reveals, “Priyanka has always been proud of her Indian heritage and likes to keep a glimmer of her Indian culture alive in all the characters she plays. Even in The Matrix Resurrections, her outfit and hair, exude a desi vibe. They have used saree borders in her outfits and the pants she wears in the poster have been made to resemble a dhoti.”

Even for the promotions of The Matrix Resurrections, PeeCee plumped for a long serpentine braid with a few strands framing her face, typical to her Indian culture. She has been coming up with incredible fashion statements one after the other for promotions of her forthcoming film.
