In 2017, Manushi Chhillar made India proud when she won the title of Miss World 17 years after Priyanka Chopra brought the coveted crown to India. She was a studious girl who also cleared the All-India Pre-Medical Test in her first attempt and was pursuing a medical degree (MBBS) in Haryana until she decided to devote some more time to the beauty pageants.
Manushi Chhillar is a perfect combination of beauty with brains which gained her the title of Beauty with Purpose in the competition. After her successful inning at the pageant, she caught the eye of media, fans, and was the talk of the nation with tons of interviews asking her about so many things, including her plans to join the film industry to which Manushi kept her fingers crossed.
In the very same year, she also became India’s top trending personality on Google search and was finally roped in for Yash Raj Film’s period drama Prithviraj opposite none other than Akshay Kumar, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The prestigious banner has provided a launchpad to many prominent faces in the industry like Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, and Arjun Kapoor to name a few.

The teaser of Manushi’s upcoming debut film Prithviraj released last month and her fans finally got a glimpse of her in the character of princess Samyukta. The high-profile film is slated to release on January 21, 2022.
