Alia Bhatt walked the Met Gala red carpet for the first time and stood for photographers on the renowned Met Museum stairs wearing a bridal white gown designed by Nepalese-American fashion designer Prabal Gurung.

Alia's dress was inspired by Karl Lagerfeld's iconic and apparent wedding collection at the luxury house of Chanel, with its long train, corseted finish, and spotless white tone. It's a fitting tribute to the late designer, who is being honoured this year with an exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Alia's Met Gala gown has a large plunging U neckline and back, a corseted bodice supporting her bust, a tight waistline outlining her slim frame, a tiered tulle skirt, and a floor-sweeping train at the back that covers the red carpet. The outfit is adorned with hand-embroidered white pearls all around.

Alia accessorized the gown with embroidered gloves, diamond earrings, and rings. Alia opted for a center-parted half-tied ponytail, high heels, light smokey eye shadow, kohl-lined eyelids, mascara on the lashes, rouged cheekbones, feathery brows, nude lip tint, and a dewy base for her look.

Alia Bhatt definitely nailed her debut at Met Gala!
