Sanya Malhotra paints the town red in a stunning lehenga for Dadasaheb Phalke International awards
Sanya Malhotra debuted her way in Bollywood with Aamir Khan starrer Dangal in 2016. The stars have shone bright on the actress ever since. She captured the hearts of audiences with her performance in movies like Ludo (2020), Pagglait (2021) and Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021). The 29 year old actress recently got honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 'The most promising' actress for her performance in the movie Pagglait (2021).
For the award function, she dolled up in a stunning red lehenga from the fashion label Shantanu and Nikhil. Her ensemble featured a classic heavy sequined crimson lehenga paired with an embellished off shoulder blouse and a matching net dupatta. Letting her vibrant outfit do the talking, she kept her makeup minimal with smokey brown eyeshadow, filled in brows, highlighted cheekbones and warm nude lipstick. Her naturally curly tresses were pulled back in a neat half ponytail with fringes swept across her face. A silver pearl choker accessorized and finished off her look.
On February 20, the annual Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 were held. The event was hosted in Mumbai, and the greatest performances from the previous year were recognised. This year's Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 honoured Indian cinema's opulence while simultaneously commemorating the country's 75th anniversary of independence, known as Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
On the work front, Sanya Malhotra was last seen in Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021) opposite Abhimanyu Dasani. She will be next seen in Shanker Raman directorial Love Hostel alongside Vikrant Massey.
