There is always the hype for films from the Mission Impossible series and particularly for Tom Cruise . It is legit as with every installment in this series Tom Cruise and his action team and choreographers always pushed the limits and come up with insane stunts to amaze the audience. But sometimes those calculated risks did backfire. It apparently happened on the set of Mission Impossible 6 and the victim of the mishap is none other than Tom Cruise himself.
As reported by TheSun , while shooting for the film in London schedule, while performing a particular action scene, an extensive jump scene that includes jumping from one building to another, the actor’s instinct might have misjudged or something! Tom, as landing on the marked spot, fell shot to the distance and fumbled on to the edge of the building and landed flat on his stomach while on set crew member pulled him in.
As expected, he has broken two bones in his ankle and such serious damage will take months to recover, leaving no option for the producers to halt the production and postpone the release date of the film, to which fans were already waiting for. After X-rays revealed the extent of the damage, he is now expected to head home to the US for treatment.
The shooting schedules for the film was going all well quietly and progressive one on the location of New Zealand, Norway and even some scene in India! The cast for the Mission Impossible 6 includes Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Sean Harris, Henry Cavill and Vanessa Kirby. Earlier the released date for the film was scheduled to late July 2018, but considering the mishap, it might be pushed toward Christmas release!
