The screen actors guild's strike has raised questions about Priyanka Chopra's upcoming movie, ‘Heads of StateM. According to reports, none of the Hollywood actors may continue to work during this strike and will not be permitted to participate in any type of shoot. After failing to achieve a new labor agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents companies like Walt Disney Co. and Netflix Inc., the Screen Actors Guild announced the strike.
Speaking of SAG-AFTRA member Priyanka Chopra, she won't be able to film anywhere in the world for any film or television production until a new agreement between SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP can be established and the actors strike might end. John Cena also has a major role in ‘Heads of State’.
A forecast indicates that the strike could last through the end of September. It is also claimed that, with the exception of independent projects not covered by labor agreements with unions, the actors' walkout would halt all written film and television show production in the United States.
Additionally, local language shows produced in nations like Korea and India are supposed to still be available on streaming sites like Netflix and Amazon.com Inc.'s Prime Video, but Hollywood production is said to have come to an end. Now that the industry is completely shut down, it will be interesting to watch when the strike ends and the actors can resume their jobs. This is the first major strike Hollywood has seen in 63 years.
