Angelina Jolie levels shocking accusations against Brad Pitt, shares chilling details
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie on Tuesday filed countersue charges against ex-husband Brad Pitt. Jolie has revealed chilling details of the latter's abusive behaviour and the way he had apparently treated her children.
The actress stated that Brad Pitt had choked one of her six children and hit another in the face. Not only this, she was slammed against the wall by the former, who had grabbed her by the hair.
Jolie further revealed that these incidents happened in the year 2016 and eventually culminated in their divorce.
As per a report by The New York Times, Brad Pitt's abusive behaviour while onboard a flight from France to the USA had left the children crying and traumatised. Angelina Jolie too had suffered injuries on her back and elbow.
Noteworthy, since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19, 2016, they have been embroiled in a custody battle over their children. Jolie had full custody until May 2021 when Pitt was granted joint custody, over four and a half years after proceedings began.
However, in July 2021, Los Angeles superior court judge John W. Ouderkirk was removed from the case due to concerns over his impartiality as he did not sufficiently disclose business relationships with Pitt's lawyers. This resulted in the custody arrangement reverting to a previous November 2018 agreement where Jolie has primary physical custody while Pitt has "custodial time" with their minor children.
