The Vogue model Bella Hadid has left the audience shocked; Bella Hadid in a recent conversation with Vogue US revealed that she had rhinoplasty surgery at the age of 14. This is the first where the model has opened up about her insecurities and had a candid conversation about it.
While sharing her thoughts the model said, “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” she said, referring to her dad Mohamed Hadid of Palestinian descent. “I think I would have grown into it.” The interviewer noted that Bella was 14 when she had the surgery and that it’s a “decision she regrets.”
The Supermodel further added that her insecurities came from the constant comparison with Gigi Hadid, her elder sibling by a year, who’s also a world-famous runway model. The thought of being “the uglier sister” fed her insecurities during her childhood. “I was the uglier sister. I was the brunette. I wasn’t as cool as Gigi, not as outgoing,” Bella said. “That’s really what people said about me. And unfortunately, when you get told things so many times, you do just believe it.”
Meanwhile, the social media was very upset with Yolanda as she would constantly describe Gigi as her ‘perfect ralph Lauren all-American girl’ who got more of her Dutch genes than their dad’s Palestinian genes highlighting how deep-rooted beauty standards are with whiteness and eurocentric features.
