Check Out The First Ten Minutes Of This Summer's Blockbuster Sequel Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' (Watch Video)

In honour of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's digital release, IGN has made the first ten minutes of the summer blockbuster sequel available online. The first 10 minutes of the film's story inform viewers of what has happened to Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) since the events of the first installment. Even though she has enjoyed band practice, she feels very alone without Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) after losing her own Peter Parker. There are always going to be costs associated with adopting a heroic persona.

About 18 months after the spider that bit Miles altered the direction of his life, ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ continues his journey. Miles has been doing a pretty excellent job of protecting the city from small-time criminals in his capacity as Brooklyn's ‘Spider-Man.’ However, after Jason Schwartzman's character The Spot enters the scene, Miles will reconsider underestimating a potential threat. As a result of Miles' failure to defend the city in Into the ‘Spider-Verse,’ the new antagonist has a personal grudge against him. The battle has begun between the evil character who can traverse the multiverse and the youngster who only desires to defend those he loves.

Along with The Spot aiming to harm his family, Miles also has to contend with an extremely strong future hero who doesn't think Miles should have any power at all. Miguel O'Hara (Oscar Isaac), a Spider person from the year 2099, thinks that in order for any Spider person from any reality to become the best hero they can be and save the multiverse from collapsing on itself, they must go through specific tragedies. O'Hara views Miles as an abnormality that needs to be removed before all of reality as we know it vanishes because Miles wasn't supposed to be bitten by the spider in the first place.

A third movie in the series was soon to be released because the first successful sequel ended on a significant cliffhanger just as the credits rolled. It was originally planned for ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ to come out less than a year after its predecessor. Sony has temporarily removed the movie from theatres' schedules due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA's strike in support of fair pay and improved working conditions. The finale of Miles' trip hasn't yet had a new release date set, but Marvel fans still have a lot to look forward to in the meanwhile. On August 8,2023 the movie will be accessible for purchase and rental on VOD.
