Tuesday (April 18, 2023) brought the trailer for 'Dancing On The Grave', a true crime docuseries. According to the teaser, the series is about the murder of Bangalore's renowned Shakereh Khaleeli, granddaughter of the Diwan of Mysore.
The trailer shows various witnesses who helped the investigative agency break the case against Khaleeli's second spouse, Murali Manohar Mishra, who declared himself Swami Shradhananda, a godman.
Patrick Graham, writer and director of the crime docu-series, said, “With ‘Dancing On The Grave’, there was a joint vision that the team shared – a gruesome crime had taken place and yet the whys and the hows of the case remained a mystery. It was our goal to shine a light on this macabre and tragic story. Years of in-depth research have been put into bringing out as many facts and details as possible and, though the case has been revisited by people on and off, I believe our docu-series will present viewers with inside information and an insight into the victim herself”.
'The Dancing On The Grave' teaser portrays Khaleeli, who seemed to have it all, leaving everything to marry another guy. The docu-series examines Khaleeli's behaviour and why she left her family and friends.
The filmmaker added, “It was great to get a chance to collaborate with Ankit Gupta, as well as the whole team at India Today, who partook passionately in long periods of intense research, travelling, and interviewing to get this story told. We loved working with Prime Video, and we're excited for audiences worldwide to unravel this tragic and unsettling story. We also hope our story might honour the innocents who were killed or deeply touched by these tragic events.
