The late actor Matthew Perry once made a significant choice concerning the plot of the ‘Friends’ television programme. Chandler was supposed to cheat on Monica in the screenplay for The One in Vegas: Part 1 from Season 5, where Chandler and Monica had a disagreement.

However, in the episode, Monica (played by Courteney Cox) went to lunch with her ex-boyfriend, Dr. Richard Burke, following an altercation. Chandler became agitated and requested room service in the original screenplay. He had a conversation with a hotel employee, played by Lisa Cash, and ended up cheating on Monica. But, shortly before filming in front of a live audience, Chandler's actor, Matthew Perry, met with the show's creators.
He stated that if his character cheated on Monica, the public would be outraged. As a result, they altered the plot. "We had rehearsed it and everything, and then the day before we were shooting in front of a live audience, I was told that [Matthew] went to the writers and said the audience would never forgive him for cheating on Monica," Lisa Cash told TMZ on November 6. "He was probably right." That may have altered the direction of the play and his character."

On October 28, we learned of Matthew Perry's death. He was discovered unconscious in his home's jacuzzi. He was sent to the hospital, but he had already died.
