Johnny Depp is making some alarming claims in his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard. During his court testimony on Wednesday, the 58-year-old actor claimed that his ex-wife might threaten to kill herself after heated arguments.
On Wednesday, the actor testified in court for his ongoing defamationof character trial against his ex-wife, “Ms Heard had spoken of suicide on a couple of occasions, so that also becomes a factor. That’s always something that lives in the back of your brain and that you fear.”
As per Depp, “Many times when I would try to leave, she would stop meat the elevator with the security guards, crying, screaming, ‘I can’t live without you. I’m gonna die.’ But you had to get out." Depp stated that when he was able to "escape," Heard would follow him home, even late at night.
On Wednesday, Heard maintained a solemn expression as Depp delivered part two of his testimony. She has yet to respond to the most new claims in court.
Though he was not identified in Heard's Washington Post article, Depp, who was married to Heard from 2015 to 2017, claims his ex-wife fabricated abuse charges in order to obtain a large divorce settlement, which has harmed his career. On Tuesday, the actor alleged he never did strike Heard and sued her to "clear my name."
