Keanu Reeves in talks to headline the series adaptation of The Devil in The White City
Keanu Reeves can mark his entry into US TV with a major role. He is in talks with Hulu to star in the series adaptation of The Devil in the White City based on Erik Larson’s 2003 book. The adaptation has been in development since 2010 when Leonardo DiCaprio bought the film rights to the book.
In 2019, Hulu announced that it was developing the project as a series with DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese. Todd Field will direct the first two episodes of the show. Alongside ABC’s signature and Appian Way, Paramount TV Studio is producing this limited series.
The Devil in the White City tells the true story of an architect and a serial killer, whose fates were forever linked by The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. It follows Daniel H. Burnham, a brilliant and famous architect racing to make his mark on the world, and Henry H. Holmes, a handsome and cunning doctor who fashioned his own pharmaceutical “Murder Castle” on fair grounds. Where he seduces, torture, and mutilate young women. The story is full of murder, romance, and mystery which will force the audience to sit on the edge of their seats.
Keanu Reeves’ The Matrix Resurrections was recently released. The actor, who got his fame from the John Wick movie series is again starring as John Wick in the fourth installment of the franchise, John Wick 4.
