Using Instagram, the film's director Todd Philips shared the first image of the comic book character-inspired movie, which stars Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix as Harley Quinn and the Joker, respectively.

The identical image was posted by Lady Gaga to her Instagram account along with the message "Folie a Deux," which also serves as the name of the much awaited movie. In the picture, Gaga's Harley Quinn is seen clutching the Joker's face in her hands and expressing horror while the Joker smiles knowingly.

A comparable version of the DC Comics character Harley Quinn, a psychiatrist who falls in love with the Joker before adopting his startling methods, is said to be played by Lady Gaga in the follow-up. Harley Quinn was a character played by actress Margot Robbie in the Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad movies.
