Liam Neeson DROPPED down the role of James Bond because of his wife Natasha Richardson; Here’s what he revealed!

If not for issues with his personal life, actor Liam Neeson was on the verge of assuming the renowned role of James Bond. In a recent interview, the actor admitted that he had been considering taking on the role of the spy. However, his wife Natasha Richardson threatened to divorce him if he accepted the offer. Actor Daniel Craig was ultimately cast in the part.

Actor Liam Neeson recently stated in an interview that during the 1990s, producer Barbara Broccoli often called him to inquire about playing the part of Agent 007. For his performance in the Steven Spielberg picture Schindler's List, Liam had been nominated for an Oscar at the time. But, his late wife Natasha had given him a deadline at the time, which made it harder for the actor to accept the renowned role.

Liam stated at the Rolling Stone interview that, “I know the Broccolis. They looked at a bunch of actors,” Neeson said. “‘Schindler’s List’ had come out and Barbara [Broccoli] had called me a couple of times to ask if I was interested, and I said, ‘Yes, I would be interested.’ And then my lovely wife [Natasha Richardson], God rest her soul, said to me while we were shooting Nell down in the Carolinas, ‘Liam, I want to tell you something: If you play James Bond, we’re not getting married.' She gave me a James Bond ultimatum, and she meant it! Come on, there’s all those gorgeous girls in various countries getting into bed and getting out of bed. I’m sure a lot of her decision-making was based on that!”
