Trish Cyrus, Miley Cyrus' mother, asked for a divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus after almost 28 years of marriage. On April 6, Tish submitted court papers in Tennessee. According to the documents, the reason for the divorce is "irreconcilable differences," and she and Billy Ray haven't stayed with each other since February 2020.
Tish and Billy Ray married in 1993 and have three children: Miley, 29, Braison, 27, and Noah, 22. Tish has two children from her former spouse Baxter Neal Helson, Brandi, and Trace. The couple has asked for a divorce for the second time. Previously, the couple filed for divorce in 2010, but according to reports, they reconciled within a year.
They had also asked for a divorce in 2013 but later dropped the case after reuniting in 2017. Previously, when the couple announced their divorce in 2013, they also released an official statement that said, "This is a private matter, and we are acting in the best interests of our family. We respectfully request that you respect our privacy at this time."
When it comes to dating, Miley has also had a difficult time. However almost seven months after their marriage, the singer announced her divorce from Liam Hemsworth. The couple divorced in August of this year. During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Cyrus discussed her divorce from Hemsworth, claiming that they divorced due to "too much conflict" in their marriage.
