Baumgartner's request for child support had already been reduced by more than half thanks to Costner's legal team. In November, the legal conflict is expected to heat up as attention turns to their prenuptial agreement.

According to court records, Costner has already been ordered by the judge to pay Baumgartner $100,000 in expert expenses and $200,000 in attorney fees by August 1. Despite this, it is determined that a sizeable further contribution is required to continue the legal battle and guarantee the matter goes to trial in November.

Costner has consistently been referred to by Baumgartner's attorneys as "a man of extraordinary wealth." This assertion is supported by Costner's substantial earnings, which include an astounding $11 million for his part in Season 4 of the hit television show Yellowstone, making him one of the highest-paid TV performers.
