BTS' Jungkook has gained massive fan appreciation following the release of his latest solo track, 'Seven.' The song, which features Latto, achieved a remarkable feat by dominating Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global chart for five consecutive weeks. Jungkook's captivating voice left his admirers enchanted. However, the singer became embroiled in a controversy when composer Yang Joon-young accused his song of plagiarism.

Yang claimed that 'Seven' borrowed a similar scale sequence from Fin.K.L's 'Time of Mask,' a track released almost 24 years ago. Yang provided evidence to HYBE, the management company, seeking an inquiry into the matter. Although HYBE hasn't issued an official response, BIGHIT Music, Jungkook's talent management agency, reacted to the accusations. In a formal statement, BIGHIT firmly refuted the plagiarism allegations, asserting that 'Seven' was a collaborative effort involving five international producers and had no connection to the older domestic song.

The agency deemed the allegations one-sided and asserted that the song did not fulfill the criteria for plagiarism.
