Things are really going downhill for Will Smith- him slapping Chris Rock at the Academy Awards, followed by his resignation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and his ten-year ban from appearing at the Academy Awards ceremony. It seems the post-slap aftermath for Smith continues as shows and films featuring the star are either getting delayed or cancelled.
As per a latest report by Bloomberg, Netflix has “abandoned plans to make a sequel to Bright”. However, the OTT giant clarified that this latest development is in no way related to recent slap incident at the Oscars 2022.
Noteworthy, Bright 2 is the latest project featuring Will Smith that has been cancelled at Netflix. Earlier, the movie Fast and Loose was also shelved by the streamer.
In other news, Smith was spotted at Mumbai's Kalina Airport on Saturday morning. This isn't the King Richard actor's first visit to India. He had earlier visited India in 2019 for the shooting of his reality show The Bucket List. Back then, Will met a few Bollywood stars and shot a segment with the cast of Student Of The Year 2. He also visited Haridwar for a short while.
