Since being named as one of the Heads of DCEU alongside Peter Safran, director James Gunn has been the target of much criticism. Henry Cavill fans, in particular, have been incensed with them for letting him go since, in their eyes, he did not fit their interpretation of Superman in the DC Universe. They don't give the director a chance to respond.
Gunn recently shared a picture of himself attending the Shazam. He was slammed by the internet community as Wrath of the Gods.
The DCU hired Gunn and Safran in the second half of the previous year. If we may say so, things have been in total chaos since then. He rejected 'Gal Gadot' and Patty Jenkins 'Wonder Woman 3.' According to reports, Jason Momoa's 'Aquaman' story will conclude after the second film. Fans have also requested that the studio bring the 'Snyder verse' back.
