Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson expressed his excitement for his involvement in Super Bowl Sunday on Instagram on Saturday, saying he's 'pumped.' The 49-year-old actor has been chosen to anchor NBC Sports' Super Gold Sunday, which will commemorate Super Bowl LVI and the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Super Bowl LVI will be a celebrity affair, not only on the field, where Joe Burrow will face Matthew Stafford, but also on stage, where Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will headline a jam-packed halftime show. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was slated to make a special appearance on the SoFi Stadium field before kickoff, giving the pre-game festivities even more star power.
Sharing his excitement, the former WWE wrestler earlier tweeted "After all these years my football dream of standing on the Super Bowl field has finally come true. This will be historic. This will be my honor. This will be electrifying. I'll see you this Sunday!"
