A new video, featuring Twilight star Robert Pattinson packing in some good punches while training for The Batman (2022), has created a frenzy on social media. The Batman fight co-coordinator Daniel Arrias’ wife Erica had shared a behind-the-scenes video of Pattinson boxing with the two-time Independent Spirit Award nominee in London as he prepared to play the caped crusader.
Pattinson, who broke his wrist in 2019 and was infected with Covid-19 in 2020, had also trained with Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor Rigan Machado at The Academy Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.
As a part of his training, Robert Pattinson left no stone unturned to prep for his part in the film. He reportedly ran 3-6 miles a day four times a week and reduced intake of alcohol and processed meat in order to get in shape for his character.
On a personal front, the 35-year-old Robert Pattinson has been in a relationship with model Suki Waterhouse since mid-2018. The couple's affection for each other is adorable and their PDA has been captured by the paparazzi many times.
The Batman, which has amassed $677.8M at the global box office, is the highest grossing movie of 2022 so far. It featured a star-studded cast that also includes Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, and John Turturro. Though not officially confirmed, speculations are rife that Pattinson and Reeves will team up again for The Batman 2.
