Hollywood star Vin Diesel on Saturday night revealed that Brie Larson has been cast to star in the tenth installment of the globally successful film franchise Fast & Furious. The Oscar-winning actress plays Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor, who plays Dominic Toretto in the long-running Universal film franchise, took to Instagram on Saturday night and posted a photo of himself with Larson. The image shows the two stars flashing wide smiles as she rests her hands on his shoulder.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself ‘That’s Captain Marvel.’ Clearly there is love and laughter in this image. What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in ‘Fast 10.’ You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie,” Diesel wrote in the caption.
To be directed by Justin Lin, Fast & Furious 10 is slated to enter theatres on May 19, 2023. Fast & Furious 9 arrives in cinemas on June 24 after facing numerous delays in its release amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
