When BTS’ Jungkook saved a life and performed with a broken shoulder
Kim Sung Joo fell on Jungkook at the 2016 DMC festival, where the latter saved his life.

The Bangtan Boys consist of seven singers: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Formed in 2010, the Korean boy band has a huge following throughout the world. They have performed many concerts, and their recent song ‘Butter’ is the most downloaded song in the US.
At the 2016 DMC festival, the host of the show, Kim Sung Joo, was walking on the stage. The host fell down a lift opening from which the BTS members were supposed to enter the stage individually as the group was about to perform their song “Fire”. The lift was already lowered for Jungkook, but Kim Sung Joo did not notice the gap in the stage and fell down the lift.
But he landed on Jungkook, thus saving his life. However, the singer did not walk unscratched. When performing “Fire,” fans noticed that Jungkook could not lift his arm. Later, it was found that due to the accident, he broke his shoulder. Even with the broken arm, Jungkook performed with all his talent, winning the hearts of the ARMY once again.
Talking about the same, Kim Sung Joo said, “Jungkook saved me once. I almost got killed at that time, but Jungkook saved me. At the concert, BTS was the next number after me. They were going to appear on the stage from the lift, which was deep underground already. After I fell, I noticed that I had fallen on someone. And that was Jungkook. Every time I see BTS, I say ‘Thank you’.”
