The Euphoria star Zendaya recently revealed that she won’t be putting her acting career on hold for the musical stage. For the unversed, Zendaya released her self-titled album back in 2013. Not only that, but she has also appeared on several singles with various artists. Her latest hit was for her successful HBO series, Euphoria, which made the fans urge for more of her musical albums.
However, during an interview with her Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star Andrew Garfield, the actress spoke about her musical endeavors and that it has taken a back seat.
Zendaya said, "I was talking to Sam [Levinson] about this earlier. I was like, 'I don’t know if I could ever be a pop star. It’s because as an actor, there’s a level of anonymity that I get to have, which I really like, and I get to sort my stuff, whatever that is, through a character, and nobody needs to know about it.”
She then mentioned, “In other forms and other mediums, it’s all you all the time. I like the idea that somebody else, meaning Rue, gets to take on that stuff.” “Boundaries. Learning what’s for me.”
The last time she addressed her music career was during the release of her track for Euphoria where she collaborated with Labrinth. While thanking her fans for loving her track, she tweeted, “I stepped away from music quite a while ago, for a number of reasons, but I still really love it, so the kindness and support I’ve received the past few days just for a little tiny toe dip back into some music means the absolute world to me.. thanks.”
