ZENDAYA WINS AN AWARD FOR EUROPHIA
However, the actress was not there to accept the award. At the 80th Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday, presenters Glen Powell and Jay Ellis collected it on her behalf. She was the first winner that night who skipped the awards presentation.
After NBC declined to broadcast last year's show in the wake of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association incident, the Globes returned to a well-attended celebration this year. In contrast, the 2021 awards event was held remotely since the COVID-19 epidemic spread rapidly.
Zendaya, who has also won two Emmys for her performance in Euphoria, won her first Globe award. She triumphed over competitors Hilary Swank (Alaska Daily), Laura Linney (Ozark), Imelda Staunton (The Crown), and Emma D'Arcy (House of the Dragon) in the category.

Zendaya shared a picture and penned a thankful note on the post, “ l'm so sorry I wasn't able to be there tonight, but I just wanted to say thank you to goldenglobes for this incredible honor. To my fellow nominees, it is a privilege to be named beside you, I admire you all deeply. Thank you to my Euphoria family, without you, none of this is possible. Lastly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has allowed Rue into theirs. I think everyone knows how much she means to me, but the fact that she can mean something to someone else is a gift. Celebs and fans congratulated her, few others said that she well deserved this award, while the others asked her about the season 3 of Europhia.
ZENDAYA ON THE WORK FRONT
In addition to Luca Guadagnino's Challengers, which is set to be released this summer, Zendaya recently finished filming on Dune: Part Two, which will be released in November.
